TASTC'S MISSION

 

The Animal Shelter of Texas County (TASTC) exists to provide safe housing, rehabilitation and adoption services for unwanted dogs and cats, and to reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats in Texas County, Missouri. TASTC will accomplish this mission through achievement of these Organizational Objectives:

  • Establish and operate a physical shelter to provide necessary housing and other space required to serve as the center for all shelter activity.
  • Conduct public awareness, education, and spay/neuter activities through partnerships with local veterinarians, other shelters and animal specialists in our area.
  • Provide a safe, harmonious and rewarding work environment for our members and volunteers.
  • Establish and strictly adhere to GAA practices to ensure maximum financial benefit in support of our mission and to maintain the public trust as stewards of their contributions.
